Network Acceleration

The AHA3610 device, AHA363-PCIe, AHA364-PCIe, and AHA367-PCIe boards were developed to increase data transfer rates in applications such as web servers, web accelerators and web traffic appliances including load balancers, firewall VPN servers and integrated routers/switches.

The AHA3610, AHA363-PCIe, AHA364-PCIe, and AHA367-PCIe implement the GZIP data compression algorithm.

In a web appliance downloading of dynamic content which may include HTML data or financial data to the user can be accomplished faster resulting in a better user experience by utilizing an AHA363-PCIe compression board.

LOAD BALANCERS and APPLICATION DELIVERY CONTROLLERS

Web acceleration appliances such as Load Balancers and Application Delivery Controllers (ADCs) use GZIP/DEFLATE data compression to reduce the content size of the data packets resulting in lower latency and faster delivery of the data packets.

Load Balancer

The Load Balancer or ADC appliance manages a group of virtual servers that connects a client to one of these virtual servers which maps to one or more of the physical servers. Much of the content passing through this appliance is dynamic and needs to be compressed with minimum latency and low CPU interaction.
