AHA4524

The AHA4524 is a single-chip Turbo Product Code (TPC) Forward Error Correction (FEC) Encoder/Decoder that is designed for cost sensitive systems. Typical applications include modems, high-speed wireless Internet access, point-to-multipoint terrestrial and satellite connections.

• Payload data rates of 50 Mbits/sec (typ @ 3 decoder iterations, code dependent)
• Built-in helical interleaving, CRC generation/detection, data scrambler, BER monitor
• Programmable code shortening supports exact block sizes
• Code rates from .25 to .97
• Block sizes from 4 to 512 bytes
• Support for 2D eTPC codes for enhanced high code rate performance
• RoHS compliant version available
