AHA4524EVB

The AHA4524-EVB is a hardware evaluation board that allows incorporation of the AHA4524 Turbo Product Code (TPC) device in a prototype communications system or laboratory test environment.  It can be used to demonstrate the forward error correction (FEC) performance gain that TPCs offer over other available solutions.

• 31 MHz maximum clock input (U_CLK, C_CLK)
• 31 Mbits/sec maximum serial data rate
• Simultaneous independent TPC encoding and decoding
• Access to register in the AHA4524 device
• Up to 4 bit soft decision input to TPC decoder
• On-board synchronization
• On-board AHA4524 includes CRC insertion and detection
• SMA connectors for all clock and data signals on/off board
• Frequency locked loop generates payload side clock sync signal
• Decoder input clock is supplied by the channel data side or use on-board 31 MHz oscillator
• RS-232 control interface for board configuration (optional)
• Dip Switch selectable operating modes
